Overview
MinistrySafe is a company that specializes in providing training and resources for the prevention of child sexual abuse within organizations, particularly those in a ministry or faith-based context. Their programs aim to equip organizations with the knowledge and tools necessary to prevent child sexual abuse and minimize the risk of such incidents occurring within their institutions.
With Humanitru’s integration for MinistrySafe, users can:
- Order Constituent background checks directly from the Reporting interface in Alpine
- Verify the status of a Constituent’s background check
What we push into MinistrySafe
From your Alpine database, users can fetch a list of Constituents to be pushed into MinistrySafe in order to enroll them in a background check. If a Constituent does not already have a User Account within MinistrySafe, Alpine will create a User Account on their behalf using their email address. The integration will then send each Constituent an email directly from MinistrySafe inviting them to fill out their application.
What we pull from MinistrySafe
On a nightly basis, Alpine will sync with MinistrySafe, looking for all Constituents that have been queued. It will queue up background checks for all Constituents returned in the Report that have valid emails in the Base Email Field. The integration will first prompt users how many valid Constituents with emails will be queued, before actually queueing them.

Workflow
Alpine database users will use the Constituent Reporting interface to pull up a list of Constituents whom they wish to order background checks for. Users will select the Background Check Level they wish to run for the Constituent segment before queuing it up.
Once the Constituent’s background check has been completed and processed, Alpine will create a Note Action and apply the Campaign "MinistrySafe Background Checks: Complete” to the Action on the Constituent’s profile.
NOTE: Due to privacy concerns, the results of each completed Background check will not leave the MinistrySafe system. This is an industry-wide standard as to not reveal any sensitive information about Constituents. For each completed background check, the Background Check ID and a direct link to the results of each background check will be placed in the Notes section of the Action. Results links are permanent and do not expire.

Constituent Matching: Email, then Name
When looking up a pre-existing constituent to match within Humanitru Alpine, the “Email” field will be prioritized, then any Custom Fields of type “Email” to return the first matching Constituent. If no match is found, then a new Constituent will be created.
