# How to import addresses using the Bulk Uploader

## This articles covers best practices for using the Bulk Uploader to import addresses into your Alpine database.

To ensure a smooth and efficient import of your spreadsheet using the Bulk Uploader, it's recommended to combine your address fields into a single column. This means merging separate columns for Address, City, State, and Zip Code into one. This consolidation simplifies the process of mapping your source spreadsheet columns to the corresponding Destination Alpine fields. When mapping, you can easily select your Address column from the spreadsheet and map it to the \[Base\] Name field in Alpine. By following this correct address formatting, you will optimize the import process.

#### Correct address formatting ✅

#### ![Screenshot 2026-08-12 at 12.55.25 PM](https://kbhelp.humanitru.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-08-12%20at%2012.55.25%20PM.png?width=454&height=87&name=Screenshot%202026-08-12%20at%2012.55.25%20PM.png)

#### Incorrect address formatting ❌

Individually mapping each of your Address columns from your spreadsheet to the same Destination Alpine field is incorrect.
