Log Personal Emails Directly to Alpine Profiles
With our BCC functionality, Humanitru Alpine users can now log personal email communications into a constituent profile directly from their email provider (Outlook, Gmail, etc) when sending emails.
Previously, you had to copy and paste emails from your personal inbox into Alpine in order to keep track of those communications. Now, you can blind carbon-copy an email address from your personal inbox when sending emails to log the email directly to the corresponding constituent profile in Alpine. This allows you to pick and choose which emails you want to log, instead of logging all email communications by default, protecting the privacy of your supporters. We hope that this feature saves time and streamlines your stewardship process.
To leverage this feature, first find the link associated with your Alpine deployment to get your “shorthand identifier”. For example, if you typically access Alpine at hello.humanitru.com, your “shorthand identifier” is “hello”. Next, in the BCC field of your email, include this identifier in the email address using the following format: shorthand@bcchumanitru.com, or in the case of our example, hello@bcchumanitru.com.
With this done, whenever you send emails with your specific @bcchumanitru.com BCC’d, those emails will be automatically logged into matching Constituent profiles within Alpine. Furthermore, any attachments to emails (files, docs, etc.) will also be uploaded into Alpine as well.
