# Setting Up Notification: Recurring Digest

**Overview**

The notification Recurring Digest consolidates multiple notifications into scheduled emails, reducing notification fatigue while keeping your team informed.

*Recurring Digest Configuration*

**Part 1: What Are Recurring Digest Notifications?**

Digests are periodic email summaries of notifications, configured for individuals:

- Consolidate multiple notifications into a single email
- Customizable schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly)

**Benefit:** Reduces email volume while maintaining visibility into important events.

**Part 2: Creating a Personal Recurring Digest**

1. Navigate to the Notifications tab
2. Click "+ Create Notification"
3. Select Notification Type: Recurring Digest
4. Choose frequency: Daily, Weekly, Monthly
5. Choose Action types to include
6. Click "Save"

**Part 3: Best Practices for Digest Management**

1. Avoid creating too many digests—consolidate when possible
2. Review digest content quarterly to ensure it remains relevant
3. Adjust filters based on season (more gift notifications during giving season)

**Pro Tips**

- Use multiple digests at different times for different priority levels (urgent alerts immediately, routine updates in daily digest).
- Create role-based digests (one for fundraisers, one for administrators, one for leadership).
- Delete old digests you no longer use to keep your digest management clean.
