The Daily Digest interface opens with two main panels: the date list on the left and detailed information on the right.

Understanding the Date List (Left Panel)

The left panel displays a chronological list of dates with key metrics:

  • Each date entry shows: Date, Total Donations for that day, Count of donation transactions, Total Memberships, and Total Ticket RSVPs.
  • Dates are listed in reverse chronological order (most recent first).
  • Color-coded indicators help you quickly spot high-activity days: green for strong donation days, blue for membership activity.
  • You can scroll through the date list to view historical data from previous weeks or months.

  2. The right panel instantly updates to show all activity for that date.
  3. The selected date is highlighted in the left panel.

Interpreting the Donations Section

The Donations section displays comprehensive donation metrics for the selected date:

  • Total Donation Revenue: The sum of all gifts received that day.
  • Total Donation Count: Number of individual donation transactions.
  • Total Unique Donors: Count of distinct constituents who gave that day.
  • Biggest Single Donation: The largest individual gift amount, including donor name.
  • Repeat Donors: Count of constituents who donated again after a previous gift.
  • New Donors: Count of first-time donors contributing that day.

Below these metrics, you'll find a detailed list of every donation, including:

  • Constituent name (clickable to view donor profile).
  • Donation amount.
  • Donation type or designation.
  • Timestamp of the gift.

Interpreting the Memberships Section

The Memberships section shows activity related to membership purchases or renewals:

  • Total Membership Revenue: Sum of all membership-related revenue for the day.
  • Total Membership Count: Number of membership transactions.
  • New Members: Count of constituents joining for the first time.
  • Renewed Members: Count of existing members who renewed their membership.

Each membership entry lists the member name, membership tier, renewal date, and membership fee.

Interpreting the RSVPs Section

The RSVPs section tracks ticket purchases and event registrations:

  • Total RSVP Revenue: Revenue generated from ticket sales for that day.
  • Total Ticket Count: Number of tickets purchased.
  • Registrants: Individuals who purchased tickets or registered.

Each RSVP entry includes the constituent name, event title, number of tickets, and registration date.

Pro Tips

  • Compare high-activity days to identify patterns (e.g., days following email campaigns or events).
  • Click constituent names to view their full donor profile and giving history.
  • Use the Daily Digest to quickly verify that transactions have been recorded correctly after fundraising events.

Common Mistakes

  • Not filtering by date range when looking for specific trends. Use the date list to narrow your focus.
  • Confusing Daily Digest with transaction logs. The Digest summarizes daily activity, not individual detailed records.
