The At a Glance panel displays six key metrics that give you an instant snapshot of your organization’s fundraising and engagement activity. After following this guide, you will understand what each metric represents and how to use these numbers to quickly assess your organization’s performance. **WHEN TO USE THIS GUIDE** Use this guide when you want to: \- Understand what the six At a Glance stats on your Dashboard mean \- Quickly check your organization’s key fundraising and engagement metrics \- Interpret your Dashboard summary at a glance after logging in **STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS** Part A: Navigate to the Dashboard Step 1. Log in to your Humanitru account. Step 2. If you are not already on the Dashboard, click “Dashboard” in the left-hand navigation menu. Each card shows a single key metric with its current value. Step 3. Look for the At a Glance section on your Dashboard. It displays six metrics: \- **Total Constituents**: The total number of contacts in your Humanitru database. \- **Total Donations**: The total number of individual donation transactions recorded. \- **Total Raised**: The cumulative dollar amount of all donations received. \- **Average Gift**: The average dollar amount per donation (Total Raised divided by Total Donations). \- **Donor Retention Rate**: The percentage of donors from the prior year who gave again this year. \- **New Donors**: The number of first-time donors added to your database. Step 4. Review each metric to get a quick snapshot of your organization’s fundraising health. These numbers update automatically as new data is entered into Humanitru. **PRO TIPS / COMMON MISTAKES** Pro Tip — The At a Glance stats reflect your entire database. Use filters in the Constituents or Insights modules for more targeted analysis. Pro Tip — Check the At a Glance panel regularly after data imports or event entries to confirm your data is being recorded correctly. Common Mistake — Confusing “Total Donations” (number of transactions) with “Total Raised” (dollar amount). These are two different metrics. Common Mistake — Assuming the Donor Retention Rate updates in real time.
