Fundraise Up Integration

OVERVIEW

Alpine seamlessly connects with your Fundraise Up account, importing Donations and  Constituents nightly without manual intervention. Processing donations through Fundraise Up? Humanitru handles everything automatically—no more exporting reports or manual uploads. This integration saves you valuable time while ensuring every supporter and contribution is properly recorded. 

Here's how to connect Fundraise Up to your Humanitru Alpine database. 

WHAT WE PUSH INTO FUNDRAISE UP

Since the goal of this integration is to pull information from Fundraise Up, your Humanitru Alpine database will not push any information into your Fundraise Up account—it will only pull information.

WHAT WE PULL FROM FUNDRAISE UP

On a nightly basis, Alpine will fetch a list of Fundraise Up donations to sync over into your database, along with corresponding information regarding the donor (email, name, etc.).

SYNC DETAILS

Timing: Nightly

This integration syncs on a nightly basis, and does not in occur real-time.

Constituent Matching: Email

When looking up a pre-existing Constituent to match within Alpine, the “Email” field will be prioritized. If no match is found, then a new Constituent will be created.

Action Matching: Yes

Every Donation synced from Fundraise Up is mapped using the donation_id in order to reduce duplicates and improve reliability.

Technial Caveats

When syncing donations from Fundraise Up, incomplete Donations will be skipped (e.g., failed, scheduled, etc.). Donations are recorded in Alpine as they succeed.

 

Initial Sync and Data Flow

Once the Fundraise Up integration is initially connected from the Alpine settings page, it will automatically pull all donations made in Fundraise Up into Alpine. If you are setting up the connection yourself, the historical data will appear overnight when the integration runs for the first time.

What Happens During the First Run:

On the first night the integration runs, all historical donations will be synced, including:

  • Amount and date of the donation.
  • Any notes associated with the donation.
  • The corresponding Fundraise Up campaign and designation.

Constituent Matching:

Donations are matched to an existing Alpine Constituent using their email address. If a matching email address is not found, the integration will automatically create a new Constituent record in Alpine. 

Managing the Integration:

If you need to halt the integration’s functionality, please contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss potential options.

  1. Option 1: Disable the Integration
  • Effect: No new data will be synced or pulled from Fundraise Up moving forward.
  • Data Retention: Existing information and records synced up to the point of disabling will remain in your Alpine database.
2. Option 2: Remove the Integration
  • Effect: Requesting the removal of the Fundraise Up integration from Alpine by our engineering team.

Outcome Options:

Deletion: All Fundraise Up donations and associated Constituent profiles (if those profiles only contain Fundraise Up donation records) will be deleted from your database.Retention: Donations can be retained while the integration is removed, but this option requires engineer support.
